Sniping tool is a new Windows 7 feature that allows you to take screenshots.
Instead of going to Start>Accessories>Snipping Tool
It is much easier to run it from shortcut (Alt+0) for example.
To set it go to Start>Accessories>Snipping Tool right click on it and select properties.
Where shortcut shortcut key – change it to desired configuration.
Why navigate to the accessories menu to find the snipping tool. Just hit the key and type snip and right click for properties. I consider this the Windows 7 way to open applications. Opening the snipping tool this way is almost as fast as pushing a hot key and easier to remember.
To open an application hit the (windows) key and type enough of the app name so that it is highlighted in the pick list and hit (enter). To open word I hit (windows)wo(enter).
How do you create an Icon on Desktop for Snip
1. d to expose the desktop
2. type snip
3. snipping tool and drag to desktop
4. Select create short cut here
Sorry, I’ll try that again:

2. type snip
3. (right-click) snipping tool and drag to desktop
4. Select create short cut here
before step 2 should be:
1a. type (windows key)
