What Makes An Interesting Photograph

Just because you have tons of layers , did subframing or used any other technique doesn’t guarantee you’ll have a great photo. Your photograph needs to be interesting . In other words , techniques are nice to play with , but they serve a purpose , they serve the story .

So what makes a photo interesting?

Photography doesn’t have a success formula ,but you need to have an evoking element in it , something that will affect your viewer emotionally , so how do we do that ?

Having a hero in your photograph

A good street photograph usually has a strong subject (Hero) that is the focal point of the image, but also captures the surrounding environment and context.

We can play with the various techniques , but what we truly need to learn is how to be emphatic, how to see emotions and moments , and how to connect things together in a frame .

You need to learn how to use humor
Humor can add a unique touch to photography, making it more engaging and interesting for viewers. A well-placed juxtaposition, or humorous element can bring a smile to someone’s face and make them feel connected to the image in a personal way.

You need to learn to see contrast in things.
Like having a woman with a short red dress, surrounded by traditional dressed ones. That would be a tradition and modern contrast . You can find contrast in many things like old and young, tall and short, colorful and monochrome , and many more.

But mostly you need to keep an open mind and not bind yourself with prejudice about how exactly things should be . Let the photography be your tool of self expression , don’t put in to different conditioning.
