This website is run by me, Gil Kreslavsky, a photographer and photography educator based in Israel. I run photography workshops, online classes, one-on-one coaching, and I sell prints. This page explains what personal information I collect, why, and what you can do about it.
I've tried to write this in plain language rather than legal boilerplate. If anything is unclear, email me at info@kreslavsky.com and I'll explain.

I am the data controller for information collected through this website.
When you book a workshop or contact me. Through my booking and contact forms I collect your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to write in the message field. I use this to answer your question, confirm your booking, add you to the pre-trip WhatsApp group, and stay in touch about the workshop you booked. Without this information I can't run the booking.
When you sign up for my mailing list or waitlist. I collect your email address, and your name if you provide it. I use it to send you news about new workshop dates, articles, and photography content. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
When you book a coaching session. In addition to your contact details, you send me photographs and links to your work so I can review them. I use these only to prepare for and conduct your session. I don't publish, share, or reuse your images for any purpose without asking you first.
When you buy a print or a product. Payment is handled by PayPal. I never see or store your card details. I do receive your name, email, and the shipping address needed to send your order.
When you leave a comment on the blog. Your name, email address, and comment are stored so the comment can be displayed and so I can reply.
When you simply visit. I use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which articles they read, and how they found the site. This tells me what to write more of. It's statistical, not personal snooping, but it does involve cookies (see below).

I do not sell your personal information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
I'm based in Israel, and the services above operate in various countries including the United States and the European Union. This means your information may be transferred outside your country of residence. Israel has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection, and the providers I use offer their own safeguards for international transfers.

If you're in the EU or UK and you think I've handled your data badly, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. I'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses:
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site, such as checkout.
Some pages include videos from YouTube and content from Instagram. These platforms may set their own cookies and collect data about you as if you had visited them directly. Their privacy policies apply to that activity, not mine.
Some articles, such as my book recommendations, contain Amazon affiliate links. If you buy something through one of them, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may use cookies to track that referral. I only recommend books I've actually read and would recommend anyway.
This site isn't aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, email me and I'll delete it.
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, and the services I use apply their own security measures. No website can promise perfect security, but I don't hold more data than I need, and payment details never pass through my hands.
If I change how I handle personal information, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
